The Most Boring Subject Ever

Day One of Copyright class:  Blah, blah, 1710, blah, Statute of Anne, blah, blah, blah, copyright, blah, blah, Guttenberg Press, blah, blah, blah, blah.  Snore.

Day Two of Copyright class:  Blah, blah, rights of the copyright holder, blah, blah, blah, exemptions of copyright, blah, blah, laws aren't laws only guidelines, blah, blah, blah, can't be sued for major moolah.   Confused snore.

Day Three of Copyright class:  Practical applications in ILLiad.   Please be more interesting than the last two days.  It can only get better, right?

I so fail...

Yeah. That whole April goal thing? Didn't really pan out so great. I got some really horrible news the first day and then I was sick until oh, yesterday. I am so not even going to try to exercise tonight. I have to close the library tonight at midnight and then be back at 8am. Isn't that super? So all you're getting tonight is a post on what I am going to do to pass the time until I have to go back to work. In list format because I am lazy.

• All my laundry and ACTUALLY PUT IT ALL AWAY! I am great at doing laundry but I absolutely hate folding/hanging everything.
• Make tater tot casserole. With the frozen hamburger I forgot to take out of the freezer this morning. Yumm.
• Do my dishes and ACTUALLY PUT THEM AWAY! Yes, I have problems with this as well. I also need to figure out where to put the dish set that my mom bought me for Easter.
  
• Watch Twilight or an episode of Supernatural. Such decisions.

Expect a longer (and more coherent) post tomorrow.

The Plan

Whoa!  Is it April already?  I thought March just started.  I think my calendar must be lying to me.

Well, this being April 1st (are you sure?  I mean wasn't it just March 1st yesterday?) I have decided to start some new habits.  I am going to try to post at least once a day and exercise once a day.  Yes, it is ambitious and I'll probably die trying but oh well.

Now I just have to find something interesting to write about.  Crap.

Breaking Dawn

See, I told you I'd finish it before I got home. :)

I have to say, that was an awesome series. I tend to get majorly involved in books and I honestly have to say that I am glad that I am done. It was totally a roller coaster ride from start to finish.

Renesmee was a total left fielder. I was so not expecting that. And Jacob? I probably should have seen that too but I was totally blindsided. It kinda makes sense. Dark, twisted, ironic sense but still.

The ending was pretty nice as well. The last chapters/epilogues usually leave me disappointed and wanting more but this was nice. It would be nice to see what happens when Renesmee grows up though!

Okay, gotta go close down the library now and finally go home. Yay! It has been a long couple of days at work.

Twilight

So, I read Twilight. I know, I know. Everyone else on the planet has already read it. If you know me, then you know that I'm always late. I didn't read the Harry Potter series until last summer. Go, me.

Anyways, someone returned Twilight so I took it home and read it. And it was AWESOME! When I first heard about Twilight, I wasn't really into it. I mean, teenage girl meets vampire love story? Isn't that a little Buffy? And we all know how that turned out. Twice. But everyone was reading them and there was this big to do about the movie (which I didn't see, surprise!) and I caved. I started reading it on my supper break and let me tell you, the next four hours were pure hell. I mean, how can I work without knowing what is happening? I was good and didn't peak until I got home.

I really enjoyed this series. Although, I have to say that while I was reading it, I noticed that Bella has no self-preservation instincts at all. I'm sorry but seriously. Let us leave the strong vampires and set out to save our mother BY OURSELF.

I have just the last part of Breaking Dawn waiting for me to finish when I get off work. Oh, who am I kidding. I'll probably finish before I get home or at least get most of the way through. I also have two Redwall books waiting for me and Summer Knight, part 4 of the Dresden Files. I love the Dresden Files! I wish I would have paid more attention when it was on SciFi. I also need to watch Ironman tonight so I can take it back tomorrow and Netflix just sent me vol. 3 and 4 of Supernatural Season 2. And I'm still waiting for vol 5. I'm thinking I'm not going to get a lot done this weekend. ^_^

LIS: Library Investigative Service

Nerd Alert coming up!

I totally just had a spaz attack a few minutes ago. Guess where I shipped a book back to?

Quantico!!!!

Perhaps this is only awesome to me because a) I am a nerd, b) I've been watching enough CSI and NCIS to make your eyeballs bleed, c) Quantico!! and d) I really, really am a sad and lonely nerd.

As I was putting the thank you note in the book, I thought, Dude! What if they fingerprint this?! And it totally made my day. ^_^

I Survived Thanksgiving

There were a few moments when I thought I wouldn't make it.

Such as:

• Sticking my hand inside of a chicken - disturbing
  
• Finding out that the innards of the chicken were not packaged in nice neat plastic bags - ick!
  
• Picking the chicken up by the wings and discovering that if felt like picking up a person - creepy
  
• Gravy, how you hate me
• Dishes, how I hate you
• Pumpkin pie. I followed the damn recipe, why did you taste horrible?!

Some of the funnest parts?

• Kisa licked a hole in the meringue of the butterscotch pie.
  
• I placed a towel over both the butterscotch and pumpkin pie.
  
• Kisa stepped in the butterscotch pie and tried to lick it through the towel.
  
• She saw me coming, panicked and ran through not one but two pies.
  
• Much laughing ensued.

Not bad for hosting my first Thanksgiving. I'm proud to say that I cooked all the food minus the broccoli casserole and sweet potatoes and the only thing that didn't turn out right was the pumpkin pie. Even the gravy turned out good (only after I washed my hands of the whole thing and walked away did it thicken up).
